BANKSTOWN DISTRICT CRICKET CLUB - INDOOR TRAINING FACILITY AND MEDIA PAVILION

2005 - 2013

Designed to be compatible with existing Memorial Oval buildings, this project was a joint undertaking by Bankstown City Council and Bankstown District Cricket Club.

The development comprises two buildings, an indoor training facility and multi-purpose sport centre, and a multi-use media centre/function space/class room facility.

Given a limited budget, we opted for a modified industrial tilt slab system for the indoor training building. The building is naturally ventilated and the highly insulated roof overhangs the perimeter wall to provide shade, at the same time softening the industrial form of the building.
