2014 - 2022

Our owner builder client loved the rural property but hated the house that came with it, a 1960s split level house on a flat site. 

Situated above the banks of the Stewart River the client brief was to economically transform this suburban brick veneer house into a single storey country residence capturing cooling summer breezes, warming winter sun and linked to the surrounding serene landscape environment.

As an owner / builder project, a staged construction plan was developed to allow for occupancy during construction, the first stage being a two bedroom pavilion attached to the rear of the house, completed prior to commencement of demolition work on the house itself.
