Site analysis studies showed issues with overlooking along the side boundaries from adjacent properties were the outdoor spaces to be positioned facing a side boundary. Therefore a decision was made to cluster the ourdoor spaces of the six townhouses around communal courtyard. One advantage of this decision was that the entrances to the townhouse all faced the street, and by locating vehicle access for the two rear townhouses off the rear laneway, we were able to minimise site area taken up by driveways.
